I just joined, but the Administrator has disabled my account!
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we have a screening process to prevent young ladies seeking "love and companionship" and so forth from joining then contacting members on the website. We have a strict verification process in order to filter out non-Military Brats, spammers and scammers. Please be patient.
I was able to log in with no problem a few days ago, but now I can not.
If you have gone throgh the formal signup process and have been using the website during the last few days or weeks, and suddenly you cannot login to Military Brats Online, it may be possible that a recent operating system upgrade or a browser upgrade may be responsible. Or it may be that a recent security patch made to your computer or browser may not be 100% compatible with the Military Brats Online login system.
Please try the following suggestions:
1. Try to login from a different computer. If you can login successfully from a different computer, then the problem must be with your computer and your browser.
If you cannot login using a different computer, it may be that your password needs to be manually reset or a recent password change did not work. Contact admin@militarybrats.net and ask for manual reset of your password.
2. Try a different browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, try downloading the FireFox browser and see if you can log into Military Brats Online using the Firefox browser. If you are a regular FireFox user, try your Internet Explorer browser (assuming you are a PC user). Macintosh users should try switching to or from Safari or Firefox.Firefox is a free browsers, and you can download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ 3. One browser works, but a different browser does not. If you can log in successfully with one browser and not the other on the same computer, it may be that you need to upgrade the problem browser or possibly delete any cookies associated with militarybrats.net for the browser that is the problem.
From time to time all browsers have security upgrades or patches which need to be installed. What can happen is that our system may get ahead of your browser version, causing some incompatibility with logging in.
4. Neither browser will work on the same computer. If neither browser will work, try requesting a lost password through the Military Brats Online website and creating a new password.
If this does not work, we can manually reset your password. Contact admin@militarybrats.net and request a manual password change.
5. Try deleting your browser cookies. Use the browser's Help area to go into your browser and delete your cookies associated with militarybrats.net.
Then quit the browser, restart the browser and try to log in again.
NOTE: If you use Firefox, DO NOT select "restore previous session" when restarting as this will bring up the browser pages as before and may not work.
ALSO: Be careful NOT to delete ALL your cookies as this will affect your logging into other websites. You can delete cookies selectively by URL, so just delete those cookies for militarybrats.net.

How do I add a link to a comment?
HTML OVERVIEW (1) You may have noticed that when you post a comment to profiles, in discussion groups, etc. below the box it says something like, Allowed HTML Tags: b, img, a, embed, font. This means you can add HTML code to make clickable links. Adding HTML "tags" which are enclosed by " " will tell the browser to make a link and will turn the link blue. For this tutorial I am only going to show how to make a link from a comment text to a blog page. You can use this same technique for making links to other pages within the website.Tags have to be properly formatted and your URL has to be complete or they won't work.ADDING a LINK:2) To add clickable link. Example, for linking to a blog, Dad's Serial Number.. . . you may have read my blog where I was looking for information about my dad in my blog called a href="http://www.militarybrats.net/Sargesbrat/blog/211/" target="_blank">http://www.militarybrats.net/Sargesbrat/blog/211/">Dad's Serial Number.Notice: you have to have the /a> tag to close the linkyou have to have a space between a href="http://www" target="_blank">http://www.you have to have a " mark before http://www.etc and after the end of the URLyou have to have "http://www.abcdefgetc.com"Leaving out spaces, or one or more " marks will make the programming code not work.Adding in an extra space in a URL, like "http://www.abc defghijk.com will "break" the linkI usually find the page using my browser, the copy the URL from the browser and paste it into the code so I know it will work.OPENING A NEW BROWSER WINDOW:3) If you are linking to a URL OUTSIDE of Military Brats Online, you may want to make the link open a new browser window, so the reader can come back to MBO easily. Example:http://www.militarybrats.net/Sargesbrat/blog/211/" Target=_Blank">Dad's Serial Number.By adding the " Target="_Blank" in the tag, this tells the browser to open a new window.CHECK YOUR LINK:4) After you post the comment, check to make sure the link works as it should. If it does not work right or is not clickable, there is a space or a missing " mark or some other issue with the code.
I received a Friend Request, but when I accepted, their account did not exist.
Occasionally "spammers" or people who are not really military brats will join the website and then invite members to be their friends. We usually spot these "low lifes" quickly and delete their account. However, since they have already sent out a friend request to you, there is no way to "recall" the request email, so you end up answering a phantom request.
Just delete the request and know that we are doing our best to screen all new members, but once in a while someone slips through.
I joined years ago, but my UserName isn't recognized . . . what's up?
